While talking to some entrepreneurs I realised that many business owners are reluctant in setting up their first Facebook Ad Campaigns. They are not sure what they are getting for the money they are spending and if it’s worth investing in advertising on social media.

Others have have bad experiences. They set up the wrong campaigns and didn’t reach the goals they were after. And it’s not their fault.  Facebook Ads Manager can be somewhat intimidating to use. The types of campaigns you can set up and the ways in which you can narrow your audience have gotten more complex over time.

You’ve created your Facebook business page, invited all of your friends to like it and you don’t know where to go from here. The first ad campaign you can run is a Brand Awareness one.

This type of campaign allows your name, website and company logo to gain notoriety amongs your target audience. According to Facebook, people are 60% more likely to recall seeing your ad with brand awareness campaigns than with other types.

You want to know what people think of professionals in your line of business. Or perhaps you want to run a giveaway on Facebook. Use this type of campaign to get precious feedback from your audience by delivering your content to the people who are most likely to engage with it.

Traffic

You have uploaded a few of your products or your pricing list on your website and you are ready to sell. You just need to get people to access your services or products page. Use this type of campaign to drive traffic from Facebook to your website.

This is where targeting you audience really comes into place. The more you know about who your potential customers are, the more likely you are to get conversions out of this. You can add an offer to your campaign to make it more appealing.
